In this issue, readers share their worries about Idolmorphism, the disorder that experts are claiming has contributed to tragic events such as the recent stabbing of Maren Gilligan
Pensa from the South City region: "I've been seeing a therapist for a while now about my problem. I watch Fef Berrindle films back to back in my every spare moment, I dress exactly like her ' hell, recently I spent a month's wages on an exact replica of her "Golden Pole necklace. Sometimes my Mum will have to point out to me that I've been talking in nothing but movie quotes all day. I'm hoping to get something on prescription, and I've been invited on the several chat shows to talk about my disorder, which I think will be really beneficial not just for me, but for other sufferers, so they know they're not alone.
Chennine from Valley Yellian: "I freely admit that I'm a Penny Vellehead. She's just so amazingly beautiful and talented, and a great role model for women everywhere. My sister says I should either find work as a stunt double or check myself into a nuthouse, but she's just jealous because I'm getting closer to an exact match. I give it my own twist of course, but I love the double takes when I'm walking down the street and people think for a second that it's her before realising that it isn't. My ultimate goal is for those same people to carry on believing it IS her. I want to sign autographs.
Devido from City Skirts: "I heard about this thing going down in my home town. It's like the depot for so much City mail, and couriers often stop in to take discreet deliveries from the warehouse there. Well there were a group of kids everybody knew were trouble ' they were pretty much legends in town for arson, vandalism, necking stuff from the shop. We heard they were planning to intercept one of these umbrella things. Steal it, sell it to the press or something. I dunno what happened but the police were buzzing around that place like flies round shit. I think they may have arrested people but we didn't hear anything so it's hard to tell. Anyway, that gang have gone now, so whatever happened, at least it's not going down on our doorstep.
