Sukie is like arson:

she appeals to uncles most.

Tenacity has more hair

than her grandfather,

is too attractive by half

and we assume from her tiny

love-making hands

that she'll be disliked.

Marion was born stomping

in wellies,

telling us we were late,

showing us pictures

of her unconceived children.
