Parting Tears

Every time we part
a tear grows in my eye.
It’s not that I’m afraid to be without you,
It’s just I don’t even want to try.
To imagine my world without you
is to cast all the sunshine from my life.
And so as you drive away
the tears roll down my face
because I am happiest with you.
Do not fear, I go on without you.
I breath and I laugh.
But when you are here beside me
I breath deeper,
I laugh louder
because my heart is fullest.
So when I cry
do not worry.
I am just so happy
to have been with you
and cannot wait
till you return.
