Halloween
Swathe me in crimson
I'll pretend a devilish costume
horn my head and carry a fork.
Drape me in black and mask me up I'll
mock an old woman, collect some sweets
haunt the neighbours with an urgent bell
Under my cloak the Goddess remembers
rites of spirits, birth, death, and life
of an owl hooting in Liliths wood
of the angry wisdom
of Adam's first wife
