The Kiss

Gently closing my eyes I lent my head forward slowly, savouring every second of this moment. As my lips brushed against hers, a new world became open to me. No longer was I hidden in the shadows, no longer was I hidden from the darkness that had consumed my life forever. From this single moment had I truly realised the beauty of another world, had I felt the true fire of passion and envy.
I slowly opened my eyes; her face was masked by a blinding light that had taken me by storm. The perfect eyes, the perfect lips… I did not deserve this from her but she gave this moment to me. Never shall I see the darkness; never shall I see night like I had before.
I gently placed my hand along the back of her heads and stroked her lush hair. Not a split end, not a speck of dandruff, it was like touching the stars. Blessed I was to be here, blessed was I to be here and blessed I was to feeling this never ending joy.
But then she pulled away, pushing my hands aside. The moment had ended, the darkness returned and what was once been my salvation had become my poison. She slowly pulled her head forward; I pressed my lips forward, hoping to share the moment again. But I felt something else on my lips, not the soft texture of another lip was replaced with something else. It was like kissing a stone.
“Nothing is what it seems.” She whispered into my heart, I opened my eyes to the darkness, the girl had gone and all was black. I was lost without her, lost with her. Where am I?
I pulled my hand to her face; I could see nothing but the pitch black darkness of nothing.
When all hope was lost, a shinning light came in the darkness, a small speck shinning my way to the path beyond. I ran towards it, not knowing or caring where it leads, I just wanted to be out of this Hell. What had been my heaven had become my Hell and now I was trapped in it.
The light grew brighter as I came closer to it; hope filled my heart as I felt its warmth upon my skin. The light consumed my body and then I was finally free from this. Slowly… I embraced the light and that familiar feeling on my lips returned me from the darkness.
But then she pulled away… and the darkness came again.
