The End of the Tunnel

When will I see it?
This supposed light
At the moment I’m lost in perpetual night
I do need to find it
I need that release
I must find a way for this darkness to cease

If you happen to see it
Please do let me know
At least point me in the right direction to go
Don’t leave me stranded
Lost in this shade
Weighed down by all the mistakes I have made

Bring me to daylight
Please set me free
Then I can release all those souls lost like me
I’ll lead them to safety
I’ll show them the way
And we can rejoice in the warm light of day

So if you should see it
Do give me a shout
Or I don’t think I will ever find my way out
This light that I heard of
Seems far out of sight
And here I am still in this perpetual night
