The four of us got out the daughter's car
and into "The Old Tollgate Restaurant" Bramber

There was party of people near where we sat
get a piece of paper and scribble on that!
Borrow pen make it quick!
I forgot to wear my Cherry brooch! how sick

Carl was wearing a big flashing badge
with 30th on
looked smart in his dark blue
suede shirt
All his family and friend's
sat at the long tables

Glittery balloons of sparkly blue
round the wall banners to

A little girl with her pink head band
black skirt with roses on,
then the baby in the high chair
waving an smiling at Carl! their

The little lady in the red cardigan
blowing you a kiss
laughter and chat memories dear

All of them got up and went for Carvery!
delicious food something soft so I could chew
exciting amazing desserts

Glasses chinked as they all gave a toast
finished with cameras flashing
kiss and hugs

We all sat at the table opposite four of us
enjoying our meals as a treat daughter and son-in-law.
My dessert was Jelly an cream
plus bit of "Panacotta" fot first time
tried
Touched my taste buds divine

Although Iv'e never met you Carl before
Enjoy the rest of your day

When the balloons flying high keep your pen and paper by your side jot down what you see put it on the ABC.

Julie - well done;-) The title is much 'neater' now and you have managed to incorporate the venue, etc. into the poem very skilfully. You have put a lot of work into rewriting the whole piece and it has paid off. A lovely account of your evening which I enjoyed reading. Tina:-)

Silver-spun-sand Wow What a Compliment from someone so Talented See I wanted him stand out name. Eventually liitle bit paper brave enough say scribble down bits give to me before go busy we went nothing so much harder.I just said I'll involve somethings ok. "Million love songs baby and hear I am". No help here really not put together well. well did try bit of his Chocolate bitter now know why it was Torte or Tort plus Bayleys.Only spoonful made me taste. we got outside waiting car 1st silver one swanned in front I'm suddenly laughing and laughing as waved as went by whoops so did they wrong colour car not mauve. See if I'm got at Home! I loose my concentration.as his computer where in same room.difficult. julie
