Last night I dreamed I went to Manderley again
Let Daphne in via Jamaica
And missed Mrs Danvers
On the way to the west wing.

Lost a few minutes
Confusing Maximillion
With Mr. Rochester
And encountered Old Tom
On the way to the boathouse.

Followed Jasper
Down to Fowey til,
Backtracking to smugglers' cove
Found a boat
And rowed out
Only to find I'd gone
A bridge too far.

Then, engulfed in Max's raincoat,
Bailed out and returned
To find a broken ornament
And Rebecca
Shivering at the window
In her negligee.
