Sometimes you forgot

How odd you were

And you smiled at a child

She laughed and jumped in her straps

She was too wee

Had not yet learned how to belittle

For a moment we were best friends

She didn’t yet know shame

How it creates a frame

To look through and see

Invisible people like me

We’re connected by biology

They forget their humanity

If they hurt you

My child

They hurt all of we

You don’t need to see me fall

To create a world in which you’re tall

Not yet learned how to belittle and didn't yet know shame. Those two things are so powerful and the time before them so precious. Without them, Jeremy Kyle wouldn't have a show.

I was often told to tone it down, when I moaned about my partner having Jeremy Kyle on. His show was based on destroying the poor and vulnerable and we were meant to laugh along. Sorry, ranting again Jane. Thanks for reading.

Isn't everything just great until we get to three? It's a shame we can't all stay three all our lives. Four's not so good. I can remember being four.

It's a bit like a trip to the pub. If you just have three everything's fine but from four onwards things start to get a bit hazy and worrying.

three is fine, Turlough. So is four, to be fair. Imagine being born a Trump supporter. Nothing is ever good.
