Lenny Mass's Branhal School Diary - Saturday 6 December

Saturday 6 December

Mum dropped me off at the twins' house around 11. She told me she would pick me up at 9 tonight, and let me get out of the car.
As I walked up the path to the twins' front door, a grating voice called out:
"Well, look who it is! Lenny Mass! Saw you turning up and thought I'd say hello."
I looked towards the voice, and saw a face I hoped I would never see again.
"Hello, Michelle," I said, sarcastically.
"Is that you can say? Haven't seen you in weeks."
"Can't say I've missed you."
Michelle looked shocked. "That's not very nice. I've missed you. Especially since you got me expelled."
What?!
"You did that yourself. Do you remember helping the librarian to try to imprison the headteachers? And magically brainwashing my friend?"
She ignored me. "Since I've been expelled, Mum and Dad have tried to get me into another school. No success so far." 
"Wonder why?"
I then heard knocking from behind me. Wendy was knocking on her front room window. When she saw looking, she waved and disappeared. I looked back at Michelle, but she too, had disappeared.
Wendy opened her front door. "I looked out the window to see if you were here yet, and saw you talking to someone. Who were you talking to?"
"Michelle. I forgot she lives next door to you."
Wendy pulled a sour look. "She can never resist coming outside to throw an insult at us when we come home from school. She likes to think we got her expelled, and refuses to accept it's her fault."
"I did get that impression," I said, as I followed Wendy inside.

I am so tired. I shall write more about today, when I get up tomorrow.
