I am so tired. I'm going to write this quickly. I'm determined to write this down.
I remember looking at my friends when I finished reading; they all looked back at me expectantly.
"Is there a way to stop Bad wizards?" Johnny asked.
I flipped to the back. "If you want to send Bad wizards to a quarantined land and strip them of their powers, you say the words: Denit Rauck On Rewop. Oh, it warns this may be made up by ancient storytellers."
"Well, it's worth a try," Wendy said. "Shall we say it together? On the count of three?"
So we did. We even held hands. I felt a bit silly when a gang of third year girls walked past.
"Did it work?" Nettie asked, when we finished.
I ran to the nearest door, and tried the handle. To our amazement, it worked!
We cheered.
Mr Fooster suddenly appeared.
"Why are you lot down here making such a racket!?" He barked.
"Sir, the Lockdown spell's been removed!" Wendy explained, breathlessly.
"Lockdown spell? What Lockdown spell? You're not making any sense. Get to your form room at once, and shut that door!"
We didn't understand; we'd obviously sent Tromvled and Refisul back to where they came from, and Mr Fooster was acting like nothing had happened.
When we showed up to our form room, our form teacher scolded us for being late and told us to take our seats.
As I took my seat, Craig whispered to me: "Mrs Burns just suddenly appeared out of nowhere, and apologised for falling asleep. Anything to do with you?"
"Yes," I replied. And I told about how we had gone to the library and found the book on Bad Wizards.
Craig told Ross and Matthew what I had told him. By lunchtime, the story had spread. Different members of year one shook my hand, plus my friends' hands, and thanked us. Soon pretty much the whole school had thanked us for saving the school from the two wizards. By the time dinner was over, it was agreed that there was much confusion amongst the teachers as none of them seemed to remember being vanished for under a week. Nearly all of the second years told us that Tromvled was telling them about one of his experiments, when both him and Refisul just vanished in a puff of green and black dust. Their form teacher, Mrs East, reappeared out of thin air, and apologised, saying she must have felt dizzy for a minute. It was a shame my friends and I didn't get an official 'thank you' assembly, but it was nice to be thanked by the pupils.
Everyone was pleased to get on the buses and go home, after being cooped up for so long. I didn't realise how much I missed Mum. She hugged me as soon as I got in, telling she'd been worried ever since she'd got a letter from the Branhals telling her a fifth year had accidentally put a Lockdown spell on the school, but had been struck down with an illness, and couldn't take it off. I told Mum the fifth year was better, and hoped she would never talk to the Branhals about it
Goodnight,
Lenny

bad wizards often don't come
bad wizards often don't come to a bad end. Nice to see that's not always the case.
