In the rushes he was found. No Moses child
Face down in brown water. Troubled mind
Watery crucifixion for a broken will
His Dolarosa*, the boreen** down the hill
The transport box brought him back
past a kitchen garden Gethsemane
to the waking station, under
the far off Croagh***, his Calvary
* Via Dolorosa (Latin for "Way of Grief" or "Way of Suffering") is a street in the Old City of Jerusalem. Traditionally, it is held to be the path that Jesus walked on the way to his crucifixion
