Lost Within

Awaiting to die, clinging to live again,
Waiting for that one magic bullet to kill my sins.
I tried God, I tried escape from fate,
Nothing worked nor could it sate the thirst for a peaceful state.
Lost again, scratching at the walls of sanity,
Searching for any little piece of my fragmented, abhorrently scarred humanity.
Every step, every moment I make I ache,
Lost within a shell of a man who is not real, living for his own sake.
Maybe there is a ray of light, a moment of truth,
That awaits me in the end of this life lying near Death's ticket booth.
In vain I wait, for that one reason of life,
But life isn't about rainbows and happiness, it's really about being victorious in the face of strife.
So I wait, looking for something to follow,
Resting only a moment to warm myself from the chill that bites in to the morrow.
