My River

Sitting in the warm hospitality of the Mayflower; I gazed past my father, out onto the shimmering lights reflected upon the dancing tides of the Thames.
Their amber glow was matched by some of the bottles that myself and Dad where using as chess pieces. At that moment,my stepmother returnd from the bar with my lemonade and Dad's next beer.
I didnt know that in nearly two years I would emmigrate to America on the maiden flight of the Mayflower in 1985. I was only ten.
