Zak and Embertooth

Zak was walking along out at town doing shopping. He forgot what to buy. He asked to himself, “What shall I buy? Ah, yes! Food and a dragon!” So he went into a shop and bought some food and a dragon. Then he went out of the shop and got into his carriage. He drove back home, and he named the dragon Embertooth.
Embertooth did not like his new home very much. Zak took him for a walk in the woods to calm him down, and when they went into the woods, they saw some skeletons. Then the skeletons chased them, and the big giant skeleton came and tried to crush them. Embertooth flew off to get help. Zak ran away to home. And the humongous skeleton started to chase him to the house. Embertooth failed in his mission to get help, so he tried to fly back home as well. But the skeleton caught him, and ran away with him. Zak grabbed onto the skeleton’s leg as well.
So the skeleton took Zak and Embertooth to his cave. They tried to escape, but the skeleton ran really fast so he caught them every time. But, Embertooth had an idea, and Zak followed him. They climbed up the cave and jumped onto the Skeleton’s head, and he banged onto the wall. Unfortunately, it didn’t kill the Skeleton because he was dead already.
They ran out of the cave! The Skeleton was dizzy, so he didn’t know what was happening, and couldn’t stop them. They went back home and straightaway ran upstairs so they could look out the window and see the cave. Suddenly, the Skeleton’s head popped up, taking them by surprise. Skeleton smashed the glass off! Embertooth was stuck in his cage, and couldn’t save Zak!
Embertooth had a plan to get out of his cage. He tried to breathe fire and he sneezed by accident, causing the cage to melt and burst. He managed to escape. He tried to sneeze again at the Skeleton, but all it did was make him have headache. It was still enough to distract the Skeleton though, so Zak and Embertooth sped down the stairs!
When they got down the stairs, they stepped outside and, in the distance, saw the Skeleton running back to his cave. Skeleton did not want to get in the way of Embertooth’s rage. He was sure that, even if Embertooth couldn’t breathe fire, he’d almost certainly bite his leg off!
Zak and Embertooth went back inside, and went to bed. It was a good day’s work.
Next morning, Zak said to Embertooth, “You’re a quick thinker!” He made Embertooth some breakfast. Zak got some for himself too.
But little did they know one of the little skeletons was looking through the windows. The big skeleton was with him too. Little skeleton said, “The coast is clear! They’re having breakfast.” Slowly, creeping, they went to round to the back of Zak’s house and suddenly smashed the window. In a flash, Big Skeleton had smashed the whole place up. He smashed off the roof, the doors and all the furniture.
By now, Embertooth and Zak were fully aware he was there. The Little Skeleton ran in and tried to get them, but Zak and Embertooth pushed him out the way. They ran away into the forest. Big Skeleton chased after them. It looked like everything was going wrong, but Embertooth had quickly thought up a plan. He speedily dashed back to the house and got two pairs of string, attached a watch to the bottom of them, and dangled them in front of both the Skeletons. The Skeletons were hypnotised and fell asleep.
Zak and Embertooth ran off into a quiet place in the forest, and found a hotel where they could live in for about two days.
They said to the elf that ran the hotel, “Have you got two bedrooms?”
The elf replied, “Yes, of course.” They paid him in elf money for the two days they were staying. He showed them their rooms and gave them their keys. They went upstairs into their rooms. One was especially made for Dragons, and the other was made for Elves. Embertooth was a dragon, so it was fine by him, and Zak was a half-Elf so it suited him too.
When the Skeleton’s woke up, they saw Zak and Embertooth had left. They went back to their cave, and on the way looked for Zak and Embertooth. The Big Skeleton saw the hotel!
The skeleton smashed his way into the hotel and started looking for Zak and Embertooth. The skeleton saw Zak having his breakfast at the table. Then the skeleton lifted him up into his hands and carried him away. Embertooth was asleep so he couldn’t save Zak. Luckily the hotel owner, the elf had a dog who simply adored bones for his breakfast. He licked the skeleton’s bones and it tickled him and he dropped Zak out of his arms. Then he ran to Embertooth to wake him up but Embertooth wouldn’t wake up. Then Zak did exactly as Embertooth did. He got some string and a watch. He dangled the watch in front of the skeleton and when he fell down it woke Embertooth up. They went outside onto the pavement. Then the skeleton woke up and he was very angry. He stamped onto the ground. Suddenly the ground started cracking and Zak and Embertooth fell down. All of a sudden all of the skeletons came out of the mine and chased them down the mine and through a trapdoor which they fell down. Suddenly all the skeletons circled around Zak and Embertooth. Embertooth had an idea He saw a bucket of water and threw it at the skeletons. Electricity came out of them and they fell down onto the ground. Zak and Embertooth found out that the skeletons were robots and they climbed out of the mine and took the skeletons to the junkyard. They went back home and replaced all their furniture (cheaply, with things they’d found at the junkyard.)
They lived happily ever after... No need to have a fairytale ending. I’ll let you think up what might happen at the end for yourself.
