Man Up

What is it that keeps some men from growing up, from manning up as they say in the States?

How is a man a man when he is still tied to his mother's apron strings?

It may be cute to some, sweet to others 

to see a grown man so keen on all things soft and furry.

But as much as I resent macho man, there is nothing as off-putting as a man 

who cannot act as a man.

It is perfectly okay to cry and be gentle 

but not cry at every little thing.

It is expected that a man will share the duties of a household 

if not head it.

But a man who is neither manly nor house-trained 

just will not do.

Man, you have to man up!
