I am always amazed
That while we sleep
The world continues
Waves crash and recede
Predators hunt
The stars rotate in the sky
A tree sways in the wind
And in the darkness, we
Cease to be.

A very atmospheric write - I was intrigued from the start. Simplicity speaks volumes here, and the ending is perfectly mysterious. It left me in a state of contemplation. Loved it! Cheers. Steve
