I am starting again
as a seedling
soon to outgrow
the old shell of me.
It won't be easy.
My shell is over protective.
Sealed tight.
Keeping me imprisoned.
I sit in the sun,
drinking water, eating healthily,
handling myself with care
during this vulnerable phase.
Away from the shadow of my past
the seedling has a choice of colour
to surprise us both
when my shell bursts open.

What a gorgous poem of new beginnings and bursting fourth in expectancy of what's to come.
I enjoyed the metaphor of self seeding and attention to detail too.
Jenny.
