Father, I do not beg thy forgiveness,
I am but what thou madest of me,
Forged in the fires of an indifferent world was I,
Tempered by pain and ridicule,
Sharpened by love lost.
Father thou turnest thine eyes from me,
Thou removest thy grace,
My words fell on thy deaf ears,
Thou comforted me no more.
Father I am but what thou madest of me,
I am the spear in thy guts,
I am the blade across thy throat,
Father I am the end of thee,
As thou art the end of me.
Father, for this I will never beg thy forgiveness.

very strong words expressed
very strong words expressed here ;) Even though you don't want it to be it is a prayer and an appeal. That's how I understand it! Sorry about the psycho- analasis. I think it is very good.

It's hard to comment on your poems darkenwolf without it being more about the content than the writing, you pose so many questions. Forgiveness?(and forgiving); a complex subject, suffice to say I like this piece very much.:}

Very solemn and earnest tone in this one, darkenwolf - but I like it! Especially: 'Sharpened by love lost'. Well done ;)

Darkenwolf, Just got round

Darkenwolf,
Just got round to reading this poem, I felt the same
way as pia. The words were extremely strong, like
they came from your heart. A good piece, but slightly
sad and worrying.
Jenny.
