Don't You Forget About Me (Talent) 1

Where talent is ignored and in great quantity.
Where the young are forced to be what they don’t want to be.
Where novels are written, containing the answers to all the problems of the world, but no one is reading them.
Meanwhile :
The mindless pap,
incessant warbling,
the songs of the gutter,
pale copies without the bite of originality.
The tasteless, accepting of the contrivance of salesmen and self promoters.
A thousand guitarists feel their notes.
The genres copy and parody themselves.
They can all play the licks,
Even I can!
It’s been done a thousand times before,
It will be played more than a thousand times more.
Rock and roll ain’t dead,
It’s just been done so many times there’s nothing left to say.
There’s just no money to be made any more in Rock or Roll.
I do hope the artists are getting their royalties,
From You Tube and Spotify, Google and the rest,
Because no one’s buying plastic records and CD’s any more.
The internet has changed everything, for good or bad!
