Rain

Rain drenches the mind on the brightest of days

It soaks up and seeps in, drowning ones gaze

Grey clouds reign over bleak dismal skies

When stinging tears drain from exhausted eyes

Another sharp shower , downpour or storm 

Sodden we struggle and dream of the warm

Raindrops fill puddles, rivers, oceans and seas

They wash away evidence that nobody sees

When the rain stops you hope you'll be better

But you never are so stop blaming the weather
