a woman whose pain never left her eyes &
whose talent never left her very being
who despite all the scumbag newspapers & television vultures who
followed her around on a daily basis
always taking pictures
always informing the public about her life
as if any of us had the right to be bothering her at all---
amy,
whose voice struck electric pangs through the spine
when her frank reality
floated in tandem with an unmatched melody &
captivating presence---
amy, one hopes that now
peace will replace all of the torment that life had
brought with it &
this writer is grateful that you took the time to share it
with us all when you
could.

Such sad news, from such a talanted lady.
You've written a fitting tribute to her.
May she rest in peace.

Yes thanks for this. I have been watching On Demand videos of her via Virgin Media this evening. One in particular is filmed in b & w depicting a funeral scene. Gave me chills...
I bought her first album and always thought she was amazing.
