the wish

came to the
conclusion,
that this life that s/he has
lived, is all but being
burnt out on what seems
like
borrowed
time
now &
the wish that there was an
early out, a donor card possibly
for those who feel that they
haven’t a thing left to add,
so that the living organs could
be used help out others that
are already sick, whose hand
dealt, was worse off from the
get-go---
but the wish is useless
(um, no one, nothing,
grants wishes)
&
in fact, what eats at the wisher
more than anything is that such
an act would self-martyr them,
making more out of something
that is simply a response to
evolution’s
errors &
who’s to say that such a wish
might be carried out after
the wisher died?
