A Place Where Time Slows

I’m learning to find peace in the little things
If you look closely, if you really care to, you can see them
The fabric of our universe is more loosely knit than they would have you believe
There are holes in space and time, rippling out across the expanse of it all.
It’s quiet here. I know this is one of those places.
The lights are low and the music feels soft brushing against my skin and I understand, just for a moment, what peace is.
Time slows in these moments.
I always think of you
I want to share them with you. But my experiences in this world are my own.
These moments have been gifted to me, my time is borrowed and cannot be shared.
I’m learning to find peace in the little things
And it’s difficult.
It pulls at my heart and my mind
Fear and frustration don’t like being overshadowed.
But I’ve spent far to long bending to the will of false normalcy. I am warped and rotting under the weight of it all.
I’m learning to find peace in the little things
And I hope that one day you will too.
Maybe someday we’ll meet in a place where time slows
Maybe our borrowed time will converge
And you can tell me all about your journey.

'Time slows in those moments.
'Time slows in those moments.' I can relate to that. Stand still and breathe in the moment. My moments almost always happen outdoors.
