This One’s For Julie!

This is a poem for Julie it’s true
Because to my mind it’s long overdue
A known Cavalcader extraordinaire
Who has absolutely no time to spare

She loves singing for pleasure once a week
Preferring to sing rather than to speak
She also loves Jazz and some other cats
When Jazz comes in not an eyelid she bats

A while back Julie had an accident
That left her a good deal less confident
And it meant she could not write for a while
She’s back now but still feels a touch fragile

Then Lo and Behold she’s gets a bad ear
So far it doesn’t seem to be her year
Let’s hope that it very soon gets better
And cheers her like getting that Royal letter

I wish I could give her reason to smile
So I’ll do my best and write for a while
Though not something that comes easy for me
Because I’m still very much a trainee

Always remember you’re a Cavalcader
And not some very silly Masquerader
So show the world there’s another Julie
Who can throw tantrums and act unruly!

Yes, why not be a rebel for a while
And decide that now it’s your turn to smile
You are a big fish, not a little sprat
You are a matador and not a doormat!

new Parson Thru Hello! Cavalcader was a Noel Cowards play,my belated mum,wanted extras,paper,said come along,Julie,so under all adversity,went just stand on floor,sing,chosen by alphabet given out. We on holiday mum getting on,not well,did a week,I came back did a week! great helped one forget when no cure1 all can say. Met 'Jermy Clyde' spoke me standing by me in wings,wow! got hearing aid first time,so had listen,star 'Gabriel Drake' I was in funeral scene,Queen Victoria know model of her,mum and I hoped be in ballroom scene1 Then did 'Pierot clown,no breaks,hot summer day,in fur coat scene on beach all wave! had a litle brooch made one of them,still have,'Jeremy Clyde' T shirt signed.And by others buy. Still have. Wow! Went round signing signatures stars,and children people in,got over 55 signatures still have programme,what! an achievement when things gone terrificaly wrong in life! Costumes very bad,hats sprayed,went onto London. Hence name I use on here,mistake letter L. Getting on now age! Great experience. Won look alike show,The Sound Of Music, as said my belated mum and I loved been on stage again,as 1995 Cavalcader,as judge all,mic chat! audience clap,got highest applause,shaking! out comedian she came, handed big bi book The Sound Of Music omg! I only put sparkle music notes buy sew on and daughter for me,on Primark trouser suit,and Ray hubby,done copy! 'The Sound Of Music' Mum would been so pleased for me. ME went home,came back! Ray did,found got book1 big heavy promised someone1 I was thrilled nearly fell down little steps,some won box biscuits. Dressed as nuns. Some songs,'" men 'Keep the home fires burning! many. My Mum been singing top notes,while we on holiday,then musical director,came last week,said 'Violet' my mum,don't hit top notes,cos take away from cast,it was a team. No one knew what been through. Still do bits now when ear is better. must go thanks drops time again ear. Like your writing stories too. So good! julie x

Brilliant Moya, what a wonderful suprise julie will get when she reads this. Julie was one of the first people on abc tales that welcomed me when I came on here. We had such a great chat and talked about anything and everything. She's truely a wonderful person, who deserves to have a poem written about her. Great work. Jenny.

new skinner_jennifer My goodness what great things to say. A good writer like you,enjoy all your great work so much,gives me ideas. Well I do so much now,case once always staying in,scared so made toys knitted,never met anyone. And like 'Diana' had to persevere in all,so know how she felt,have a lot of collected things,books etc etc. so on. All has taken many years,but my achievements truly amazing,although still can't get London alone. I base part my life! like late 'Diana' loved followed in all,collected cd dvds photos,Lady in waiting,answer on divorce,all because put my name and address,then 'Diana' sends best wishes. omg! Buried on my birthday,devastated,and nightmare,Ray said get back to sleep! sat bolt up right bed told him dream1 on early shift then,put t.v on as he does am,news beautiful 'Diana' in car crash! alive died same time as felt awful nightmare,couldn't believe it! Ray took me London to,photos,laying flowers,q for signing,Diana was seen in ancestral photo! we went for train! How can anyone do a film went don't know true! Diana. Never met or H.M The Queen. Have so much on 'Diana' and given,me at the time. and bought three books,and many of Royals down through ages 2nd hand Hope all is well with you,ear drop olive oil time for now! take care you have kind loving spirit too. Love Denzellas poem. 'Jazz' been in,me on one divan drops Ray,does and he on other going asleep funny! Owners back,'Jazz' been in 1- wonderful days,back in evening for while! lovely. Amazing cat! Hope had good week-end. Back soon! What compliments. 2009 I started hear,never going chat! Didn't know a thing or poems stories,all the cherries! scared me till knew what for way around. Didn't think be commenting part. what! more agony aunt. Now just put too much! If people corrected me,couldn't take as only plonked on couple had comp. So worked hard. Thinking it was poetry site,like 'Keats' etc hard. Editor t.coo and all helped so much! do what I have. Can't do punctuation,years ago any stress bring on pain! had too avoid all. Had quite few letter's from Royalty,Lady In Waiting, on lovely Diana's unfortunate divorce,and mind so difficult,lead many awful things happened. I think lost previous comment back to you, as computer is going through twice! H.M.The Queen card to me,with six photos,thanks of 60 years,sent card Diamond Jubilee,one to Prince William Duke and Duchess of Cambridge,on first wedding anniversary,omg lovely photo,words back. One for H.R. Prince William's 30th birthday paper said send them,hence beautiful suprise photo,of Prince William on his own Wow! Course late beautiful Diana,many things have etc; of all some 2nd hand books new,down through ages all Royalty,Princes young Diana and H.R.H. Prince Charles, married to Diana,sons Prince William,and Prince Harry. Many bit and bobs on Diana, collected and read books loved her. More. No x Cavalcader Play by Noel Coward, David Land d. Then bank holiday took myself not hearing watch roads,to Brunswick Festival Ray wouldn't,bugger! turns up hour later, stalls nice,tea and cake,hear band loud,not people danced not ten minutes,but an hour,photos done,few all under Brunswick Festival! name my surprise! all. There top stalls another cardboard huge1 H.M The Queen full length,on of 'Mona Lisa' with the smile! Stick your head in,I never do far incase get stuck! Another on Old People's Day last year,Prince Regent bikini girl think! didn't look,Wow! my head on a bikini Prince Regent carrying me high heels etc; how embarrassing, oh! so as if I would lovely made me giggle. Chinese girl's asked take photo student,came behind cardboard chose one or other put his head through. Se all paid on flicker little tag given,my word,not on any other I don't do that! Closing now. new Parson Thru Hi Kev Don't; worry about the delay. hope,you enjoyed what or where you went! Thanks mainly for answering,nice surprise, in all adversity,my belated,mum got me go with her,for extras,wanted for 'Cavalcade' 'Noel Coward'. 1995 I was a nervous wreck! Loved it all,in the end met,so many fab! No pay paper advertised! We just got in,no pay,great experience! Well pray for this Saturday,been doing 'Sing A Long' all in big! choir,pay taught! Gt Musical Director 'Simon Gray',on at Hove Town Hall,saturday 29th.September. Has so much time love,for the people teach us! We all pay start,or ten week courses. All No song sheets,thank heavens,can't read music! Was in church choir,and day centres had music groups! Nerves beginning,set in! Must be age! Has no boundaries! Just try things,look at AbcTales. Especially if damn,hearing aid,still waiting an appointment later! is not picking,up 100%. We have all done,so many favourite,show tunes and many others! So important listen and hear,all the notes! etc; very important timing! ,Mine is snooker captain,and bowls? so difficult,like different,things get's me out and meet so many people! Just like London 'The Wheatsheaf' great evenings. Do not go that far on my own! so have wait him take me,couldn't go York,to far! Have a good week-end. Wettish here! Keep up your great writing! Said far too much! Got to concentrate! And try revise! songs will be an amazing time! List of 14 songs which will be sorted out! for all,people in different venues.we all have rehearsals before,good!
