Reflections On A Lost Love

I still look for my love each day,
But you have gone so far away,
I sit here for a while and cry
Without you I just want to die.

Why did you up and leave me sad
What was it that I did so bad
That sent you far away from me
And made your hate so plain to see

If you feel you have been ill used
So badly that I stand accused
Of something that has caused you pain
The thought of that drives me insane

I beg you please come back to me
I don’t want you to set me free
You and I should be together
I can’t live alone forever

It’s been too long I want you near
We’ve been apart for one long year
But still I look for you each day
To see your face once more I pray

But today I was told that you
Had found someone completely new
With nothing left of you for me
What beckons is the cold grey sea

Moya, there is no answer to that, just keep writing them, as you know, I don't do poetry but I have got better just by trying different things, just as you do. There are some really good poets on this site as you know, read their work and try to absorbe it. That's all I do. They talk about all kinds of structure and stuff, I have no idea what they're talking about but then I google it and think "yeh that makes sense" Just keep doing it my love.
