Dusty worn out shoes,
tired limbs dangling
from a frail figure
mile after mile
where did it all begin?
Familiar sights repeated
again and again
little ponies bobbing up
and down
round and round
like a merry go round
life keeps spinning
senses dulled
eyes dimmed
where will it end ?
the road winds around a bend
over a hill
through a glen
beautiful gardens
keep out !
there on the horizon
a grassy knoll,
peaceful,
calm,
to rest my soul.
