I can't make my mind up about evergreens. They add a bit of colour to the winter landscape, and although it's a dull green it's better than nothing. But they don't contribute anywhere near as much as their deciduous rivals do to the autumnal colours.

I'm guessing that F will be for fat fellow dressed in red and white.

I must have missed this one.

I presume the first couplet is 'tongue in cheek'.

The evergreens are a delight for winter arent' they? I think they cast off leaves and grow new ones a bit at at time all year round don't they? Rhiannon

yes, they must, as there are yellow ones on the ground round them when everything else is green?
