Invisible fresh air is cut and sewn
when whistles, chirps and warbles sweetly shear
off from sky's roll of space, as silk ribon
freed, catches light and slips into my ear
so makes my head a globe of rainbow sound
how dewdrops swirl Infinity around
What do they shape, each skillful needle beak
sure stitching in woods' lichen fuzzy heights?
From memory's pattern a promise wake:
lengthening days must shorten Winter nights;
now Sun which dowdy clouds hid as if shy
Springs forward proud, and naked wows the sky

Lovely picture. Reminder to
Lovely picture. Reminder to listen to the 'snowball of sounds'! The birds seem to know the season's making gentle progress don't they? I like the idea of their stitching. Rhiannon

What a great idea for a poem
What a great idea for a poem. Love the idea of the title, 'invisible air is cut and sown' kind of said it all for me.
Enjoyed and thank you for sharing.
Jenny.
