bright sound from high, cold night

of promise drawing near

 

dusk; like roofs' slates took flight

with joyous jew's harps' cheer

I love how your few lovely words can flood my mind with thoughts.

Two lines remind me of my children's excitement in late December when they were young.

Two more take me to those beautiful creatures that wake me early with their screeching on sunny mornings as they poke about for insects in the gutter above my bedroom window.
