lost in space

in a bowl of hills beside the sea
air is ice cream
red orange green lights
tutti frutti
the ferry's fog horn
a spoon full of stillness

I wouldn't have thought you
I wouldn't have thought you could make a foggy scene so beautiful! and in so few words. All stops in that still whiteness.
Do you live surrounded by hills! I used to hear the fog-horn at night where we lived when I was young, and then we moved and it was a pit-horn instead.
and such a good idea to link to the IP. Rhiannon

I love this Di, it reminds me
I love this Di, it reminds me of my many times spent heading down the valley roads to where the sky meets the ocean. Also hearing the foghorn out in the Cornish sea, such an eery feeling touches you in fog. I love the sense of air being described as ice scream and the spoonful of silence.
Inspiring poem.
Jenny.
