Pasts collide
I look aghast, inwardly.
I acknowledge them mentally into the equation.
Brain cells initiate to the task.
Temporarily,
I bask in the scenario,
Weighing what I want to give, and get.
Music flows into the background,
as the crowd part,
to leave our gazes fixed.
Smiles &; stares enact a small dance.
Embarrassed.
Previous lives.
Present in our unfolding futures.
We motion to meet.
Briefly we exchange words and questions.
Acknowledged, we pass,
our eyes venture to our present.
Embarrassed at our lost futures we part.
Outwardly, we go,
to act out our chosen art.
That is our passing lives.
