The Long and the Short of It

When I was young, life seemed so long.
Eating meat and making a pong.
Wondering about the average length of a dong.
Fairly certain of right and wrong.
Attaching importance to a particular song.
Yet now getting old, it's the past that's long.
I can only hope I escape the Devil's prong.
