In a world so insignificant compared
We ponder on expectations and self issues
Trapped in an open-cased snow globe
But without the snow
We walk but really we go no where
A path with only one circuit
But so big and long it will never be reached
Wars and conflict
But for what?
They ask
Because we will all be gone 100 years from now
Why even bother they ask
It's true
Why waste the hourglass
That's pouring your life into the bottom of the grave
Above it's dark
But in view it's light
Such mystery and unknown still remains
And as we look up to the night sky
We look up at the visible past
But as we look straight on
We see the present
Nothing can be made fact
Because nobody knows anything
We live life with opinion and guesses
Because nothing can be proven
It's interesting
Mind boggling even
But that's what captures curiosity
Captures the mind
Allowing it to wonder in waves around Earth
Allowing it to wonder among the wind that forcefully blows
Allowing it to wonder with the rain that falls from heavily loaded clouds
Perception and perspective
It's all about control
