That no matter how hard it gets

That life still goes on

Or the way you think they should
That there are things that go wrong that can't be fixed
And put back together like it once was before

People who you least expect
Can hurt you the most
And the people who are always there
Will slowly disappear

I do not need acceptance from others
I do not need somebody by my side

That life is a choice
That there is always a choice
Yes or no
Right or wrong
Left or right
Up or down
Love or hate

Over time I have realised
I am my own self
I control how I feel

And over time I have realised
That we are all growing old
And one day we will all be gone
Memories to no longer have a meaning
An existence of nothing

I have realised to let go
Of the hurt
Of the pain
Of the sad

And focus on the happiness
The laughter
The life

Its short
Its temporary
Take advantage
Whilst you can
