Unspoken Words
By Eloquence
- 288 reads
There's a place
Where unspoken words are stored
With love
Or hate
And everything in between
Within that place
There are words
Unspoken
By you
Before time cut you short
And life got put on hold
Those words are still unclear
Because they swirl amongst a combination of twenty six different letters
And I've spent hours contemplating
The words you may have said
If you had the chance
But nothing accurately captures
Even a sliver of what could have been
Were they unspoken words of gratitude?
Or words of wisdom?
Maybe even a passive aggressive vent
I will never know
You will never know
Unspoken words are scary
Because the thoughts surrounding them begin to ignite your senses
Make your mind race
And your heart ache
And they will remain in this place
Stored and locked away
To never be said
To never be heard
But my mind will go against me
And begin to conspire
To create something
That could never be
It will string letters
In the hope to create sense
But in the end
It'll all be meaningless nonsense
And the mind will begin to accept
That it just doesn't exist.
