Okay we‘re here again;
as usual, it’s a take on set.
Maddened and confused,
we‘re not “there” yet
So we speak as in paradigms.
Why? I‘ve asked and you‘ve denied:
Typical,
Apparently I’m “not worth reply”;
I know you, I know this
and it‘s just a matter of time.
It will escalate until it embodies us:
On podium, harmonium is how we fight.
Again!
We’re here again
its rolling tide
and I take a hit for you.
You take some joy for every choke.
I'm persistent, you‘re a hoax.
Like a fragrance 2 hours dry
a cheap perfume will lose its scent.
But what say you to cheap innocence?
I guess a mood swing doesn't dote
a grudge held for nothing doesn‘t smite but to leave me smote.
Beautiful memories make memories light
animal toxins make those memories bright.
We‘re swift little bumblebees caught in breeze
the wind blows, buffeting with tempting ease
and she bids us “children, still your wings“
but does not carry, oh just sings:
“Children, light like
how you flit.
so uncertain,
but how you fit“
Startled gazelles caught and trapped,
listening to the wilderness as we lay back.
Never remembering we were taken away,
we were infants yesterday.
Not unlike threads into a better place,
a whistling seam in the stars we trace.
So what say you woman of mine - do we keep this kerosene?
It makes us light without heat.
Do we accept our rival love?
Do we fall at each other’s feet?
Do we in earnest look to heaven?
Do we now scan her sheet?
No, we are haven, we are Eden,
we are safe retreat.
