You can't see me

I can’t really say what I mean here, I just know you’re far away
You wallow in the distance, in a mist, and the mist is... you say
‘You can’t trust’ and you can’t feel around for trust in me
But I can feel in every passing glimpse – that pains
I’ve seen you flower
You bloomed mid-winter
And your tinder-sticks struck flame
A flame that resonates – these chords of galaxies
An epiphany – surreal, profane
And there’s a distance that the swallow flies to find his bride.
There’s a trek the salmon swims to merge
A tide, of common thought
A surge, of men who seek to meet their lovers who travel far from home:
Some get there, some make home from home
Then some lay shipwrecked, gasping on the stone.
It’s sad now... you won’t open up
It’s sad now you won’t see
The beauty that I see in you
But then, you can’t see me.
