I can't understand in our impoverished times
how millions can be spent on one funeral
it's with sorrow I say it's immoral
when into the bank we must borrow.
Turn off our lights; turn-out our people
Food-banks increasing, work decreasing.
Yet; we must get the balance right;
for the yesterday lady in blue.
The streets will be cleansed
barriers errected; defence at the ready
for the lady in blue; sleeping on
Is she aware of what she has done?
Poverty and wealth cannot blend
The clock has really ticked back
a time to despise being in
when being rich seems to be everything.

Well said. I agree totally Esther and the people don't have any say in it at all.
Furthermore, I really don't think that Thatcher deserved the same sort of honours that Churchill recieved; she wasn't in the same league as Churchill and she certainly wasn't as beloved by the British people as Churchill.
