Back to the mundane; where would any of our lives be without the ordinary that underpins everything. Dee would have rushed to fetch a clean cloth to wipe away the tomato soup that stained their dining room floor. She'd not bother to clean away offending soup from Henry's coal black paws.
So it was that the tomato soup day plus a' big bill through the letter-box had been the dog mess on her shoes; not Henry's. How might she know what the rest of her life might be. No plans to follow nor clothes thrown into her tatty old brown suitcase. Perhaps, he was right, she might just have enough clothes;at least until tomorrow!
