Second or middle youth:
whatever you like - just don’t
call us old; don’t forget
you won’t always
be seventeen.
You’re embarrassed by our clothes
whether they’re like yours or
more appropriate for our age.
You accuse us daily
of stealing your culture
especially the music, as if your
Kooks and Fratellis
hadn’t listened to their
Grandad’s vinyl copies
of Kinks and Faces, Small
or otherwise.

i've been told there's a
i've been told there's a generation every four years. i guess the wider the gap, the easier it is to see, but you've shown it quite cleverly here.
