Here’s to a life,
to a man,
to a friend:

who reached down
and pulled me up,
who let others stand
on his giant’s shoulders.

Here’s to someone,
to our friend,
who is absent:

but still present,
in our memories,
in the tall stories told
by the light of a swinging lantern.

Here’s to Mac.

There's that quote about someone's friends being the best measure of their worth and it sounds as though Mac was proof of that. The memories will survive the sadness.
