To be perfectly frank-
regarding necessity
birthing the novel and the new-
I think it's time we accepted
rôles for money, greed and interest.
How else can you explain it?
We burn the car-boniferous;
our pyre is piled high
with 'buy-products' of petroleum:
while jelly-resolved politicians
decry the price of fish
and other staples
in far away Japan.
So what is in a name?
The Mother(s) of Invention -
an alternative chosen
so as not to offend
masses
of people driving Cadillacs,
like cargo ships and
Buicks like brigantines.
Think about the other name,
as we burn the last of our 'Gas':
Invention has no mother:
the motherfuckers are in charge.
