Scatter, Collect

Tomorrow I spend alone.
There are books I need to write,
Ashes I need to scatter.
There is a russet stone that needs to be a wall,
there are foundations that need to be shaken,
and time that needs to be waited upon.
Tomorrow I will walk,
Find a note that hasn't been opened,
And open it with shaking fingers.
I need to spend some time alone,
to gather thoughts and scatter cushions.
I need to get out tomorrow,
My hair needs to grow.
It's fairly long already but
I can't quite make it reach my shoulders.
I found a note, a chipped stone,
some hair I cut off in anger,
burnt papers, and thoughts that I lost
before writing.
