Butterfly

Feelings fade like night before the day
Thoughts of you haunt me and pass away...
Souls apart ,drifting through life in pain
I carry your heart through the pouring rain

Hope rises in the East
I drink from your well of fear and feast
on memories of sunny days gone by
Of holding hands and sharing sighs

As I fade away and the body dies
My spirit will sour and the soul will fly
To a better place of peace and calm
To you, I will gently settle on your palm

A butterfly released from my cocoon
I will be with you someday soon
You'll know it's me ,you'll feel me share
My love for you through the cool night air.
