Can't Sing Won't Sing

Silent, songless, moody mutes.
"They can't sing, won't
sing.
Don't even try"
Droned a mournful
voice.
It's saddened soul surrounded
By a crushing
gloom.
Then, a piper burst upon the
scene.
charismatically, spiritually
He played a magic
tune.
The empty dirge some used to sing
now
changed to a joyful song
And lit up every room.
With
irridescent charm
They stormed the
scene.
This rolly polly Piper
Led a daring
trail.
As if by magic Alec's baton wand
aroused the
sleeping songsters
And in Disney's paradise
A
compelling song was sung
That was full of hope and
joy.
A trail scarce dreamed of
That began in
stuttering notes,
Became a highway of dreams
That
triumphed with certain song.
