Release The Coiled Spring
Tight and tensioned ‘neath Terra firma
Lifeless, cold dark days slumbered past
Bristling tension stirs, seeking sun
Coiled tight from the Winter’s night
Oroboros- like turning, circling into light
Creation’s eternal hopeful circle
Turns again from furtive fingers seeking Spring
To grasp the gift borne on nature’s wing
Anchored deep beneath the surface
Safe secured with umbilical roots so deep
Embryonic leaves unfurl and devour the rays
God’s gift of hope renewed by longer, lighter days

The promise of the return of the warmth depicted well by the uncoiling of the taut colied embryonic seedling, and its roots down, and growth up to the light. Nice to read! Rhinnon
