Explaining God
Genesis unfolding
In the beginning
Once upon a time
Tick-tock
Can’t go back
Revelation’s final stop.
God in a book.
That’s where to find him.
We know a lot,
Or do we know at all?
Science ever shifting,
Chameleonic theory
Putting God in a box,
Or in books.
That’s where to find him.
‘May your god go with you’
Allen wryly smiled
God in a statue,
Church or holy shrine.
Man’s creation.
That’s where to find him.
Opening our minds,
Accepting how little we know.
Humble willingness,
Not creating him.
Not pre-conceiving.
That’s where to find him.

Everyone looks for God, but
Everyone looks for God, but so easy to 'create' him, as you say - our opinion, like a carving. Which is why Jesus came to teach what he's like, and pointed us to God's actual words down the years, which is what is gathered together in the Bible book. Rhiannon
