Take Me Back To My Womb
Fluffy fingers, shimmering shawl
Cooing faces, aliens to me.
Take me back to my womb!
I was safe in darkness there.
Warm and fed, with mummy all around
Why did she eject me?
Take me back to my womb!
The monsters fawning, fussing
Ready to hurt me.
Words meant nothing.
Just shells of sound.
Take me back to my womb!
What is understanding?
Why do the guardians not see
My empty eyes going past them.
Take me back to my womb!
I AM special, but pitied
Scorned, even rejected
No one ever understood.
Take me back to my womb!
God heard my frightened cries
No nasty anger, but fear unconfined,
He sent me Tracey
She made a womb for me.
Tracy, my Teacher

An interesting one, Graham.
An interesting one, Graham. Brought to mind the gentle hugging a baby and child craves, and our own desire for accepting love at any age. Rhiannon

I agree with Rhiannon about
I agree with Rhiannon about your poem. It doesn't matter how old we are, we all want to be surrounded with love, safe in the knowledge that we're secure.
Thank you for sharing.
