My Truth

(A rant of angst the twenty something version of me thought the world should know. I must say that he comes off a little arrogant.)
Now I shall speak my truth
I am tired of bleeding
Not from my body, but my spirit
Everyday I lose a little more
Using up the reserves to maintain
My precarious hold to sanity
I need to be replenished
I need a small victory
It has to change
And I will make it so
Either by words, charm, skill, or force
Change it I will
I will not be defeated
I will not accept it
I will not allow it
I will rage unto the end
I do not have to accept the way the world is
The world has to accept the way I am
And this is my truth
To fight is my destiny
And I am all about it baby
Join me, step aside, or run away
Life, I'm coming

I guess we all need victories
I guess we all need victories, great or small. We need them all.

Emotional. Powerful.
Emotional. Powerful. Inspirational. Twenty-something you sounds like he's ready to lead an angry mob! I liked this poem, it packed a bit of punch, and had a strong finish with "Life, I'm coming"
